today we went to vancouver island
or victoria, specifically? i think.
we spent the morning just wandering around downtown. there was a ceremony happening where some streets were stopped and like a police car from every part of the department was present.
a few officers were explaining what was happening, but we weren't the ones asking and didn't linger long enough to hear the full explanation.
googling doesn't seem to mention any holidays today (surface level check, anyways), so i assume its more of a local thing.
there was this cool boat dock village thing that was half houses and half shops, all on the water.
it was cool to walk around, although i wonder how the people felt living there seeing a bunch of visitors just. walk nearby.
also, i ordered three slices of pizza, but they were SO MASSIVE oops. i was looking at their pizza sizes and assumed a single slice would be the small, but then it was the largest size.
still ate them all cause hungry but man. i suffered for that.
we also walked around a few parks. that was pretty fun.
